The name comes from a drama by the indigenous inhabitants that mocked the arriving Spanish conquistadors . The satirical masterpiece is called “El Güegüense” (Gwe-gwe-nse), which means “The Wise Man”. “El Güegüense” is an expression of Nicaragua’s unique history and culture. The blend was Nick Melillo’s first cigar he released under his brand Foundation Cigars. Nick is well regarded as an incredible blender, and wealth of knowledge on tobacco.
