The Candela wrapper, being the green wrapper you see on the cigar above, is a now uncommon wrapper to ind on a cigar. However, this was a once popular tobacco found on many cigars through the late ’50 to early ’70s. The 88 Candela features Nicaraguan tobaccos utilizing Corojo and Criollo tobacco. The profile is akin to cigars of the past while adding the nuance and complexity of modern blending. The profile offers a unique bright sweetness similar to that of green tea, hay, or macha tea add in the Nicaraguan tobaccos and it backs this taste with notes of fig, earth, light pepper, and a finish of bourbon and oak.
