The Basilica “A” uses a Domincan Banoa binder that has been aged 11 years. Fans of Opus cigars from back in the day will recognize this tobacco as the signature tobacco of Opus. Some interesting history on the Basilica series, it gets its name from its signature shaggy foot (exposed filler tobaccos at the foot of the cigar). The cigar was made to have a look similaar to the Basilica canons used during siege warfare. Basilica in ancient Greece meant “Royal House” which is why this prestigious term is paired with the image of Emmanual Casdagli on the bands.
